Welcome to my learning journey

I´m Angela Rincon

Teaching is a continuous journey of learning, reflection, and growth. As a bilingual middle school teacher, this digital journal provides a space to share my experiences, ideas, and instructional projects while exploring how blended learning and technology can enrich the classroom.

My role and passion in education

I teach bilingual middle school students, dedicated to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment where everyone feels confident participating and expressing their culture. My passion for instructional design grew from exploring how purposeful digital tools can combine with face-to-face instruction to open new avenues for communication and authentic understanding.

Purposeful technology and core beliefs

I believe students thrive when their language, cultural backgrounds, and unique perspectives are embraced as classroom strengths. In my approach, technology is never used just because it is available. It must serve a distinct instructional goal: enhancing engagement, simplifying complex concepts, and giving every learner versatile ways to demonstrate what they know.

Growth, design goals, and milestones

Throughout this course, I am strengthening my ability to select high-impact digital tools and construct organized, accessible blended units. My goal is to apply instructional frameworks directly to my bilingual classroom, creating rich, student-centered learning experiences that foster confidence and academic success.

Personal Interests and Hobbies

Outside of my professional work, I value activities that support continuous learning, personal growth, and meaningful relationships. I enjoy reading, writing, and studying philosophy, which allow me to explore ideas, reflect deeply, and expand my perspective. I also value staying active through regular workouts and prioritizing quality time with my family. Supporting and spending time with my niece and nephew is especially meaningful, as these moments allow me to contribute to their learning, growth, and development.

"Effective teaching is not about being perfect. It is about being willing to learn, reflect, improve, and continue creating meaningful opportunities for students."
